Effective date: 2023-04-10

1. Eligibility: The Musicquest Philippines Songwriting Competition is open to all individuals aged 15 and above who are residents of the Philippines.

2. Entry Requirements: Each participant is allowed to submit maximum of 2 entry. The entries must be an original composition and must not have been previously released or published. Participants must submit their entries in MP3 format via email to [email protected].

3. Ownership: By submitting an entry, participants grant Musicquest Philippines the non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, and distribute the entry as it sees fit, without limitation, throughout the universe, in perpetuity, in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation, on the Musicquest Philippines website and social media channels. The top 10 entries will become the sole and exclusive property of Musicquest Philippines, and the participants agree to transfer all ownership rights, including copyright, to Musicquest Philippines.

4. Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: melody, lyrics, originality, and overall appeal. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

5. Prize: The top 10 entries will be featured on the Musicquest Philippines website and social media channels. The top 10 entries will receive cash prizes.

6. Disqualification: Musicquest Philippines reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the rules and regulations of the competition, including but not limited to, entries that are plagiarized, offensive, or violate any laws.

7. Modification and Cancellation: Musicquest Philippines reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time without prior notice.

8. Release of Liability: By participating in the competition, participants agree to release and hold harmless Musicquest Philippines, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost, or expense arising out of or related to the participant’s participation in the competition.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Philippines. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the competition shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.

By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
