Arvin Dela Cruz’s family wrote this song, titled “SAPANTANA” (which translates to the Tagalog word for suspicion or premonition, “Hinala”), as a tribute to their late mother.
The story behind the song revolves around the family’s shared premonition (sapantaha) that something unfortunate was going to happen to their mother. Despite these inner warnings, the family ultimately disregarded them, and tragically, the premonition came true.
